I have been an outdoor painter in the Twin Cities area for over thirty years.  I prefer to paint in the older parts of town, trying to memorialize them before they vanish.  So many of the old buildings and neighborhoods have a lot of soul, yet they are being torn down to "make way for the new".  My paintings are an attempt to pay tribute to them.  I am not trying to create photographic representations, but rather capture the essence of the places that resonate with me.
